GJE 2nd Annual Hamptons Black International Film Festival

New York, New York (September 15, 2010) The 2nd Annual Hamptons Black International Film Festival (HBIFF), which took place in New York City, Sag Harbor, and Montauk, NY (Sept 2-5), was an energetic experience with festival goers from all over the world. “This years festival is the beginning of more great events to come,” said Festival Founder and Executive Director Angelique Monét.
This event would not have been successful without Premier Sponsors Bluecast Productions (P.J. Galati) and Fame Hampton. Our film slate was diverse ranging from Brazilian cinema, science fiction and comedy to romance and drama. “The goal of HBIFF is to provide a platform for independent filmmakers to showcase people of African descent, but not limited to,” Ms. Monét commented.
Celebrities in attendance were Papa Wu (father of Wu Tang Clan), Music Sensation Sean Kingston, Jayquan (Nasty Boyz), Actor Shiek Mahmud-Bey and Actor Jo D. Jonz.
