GJE Launches AM Releasings which debuts with DECEPTIVE's NYC Theatrical Release

Angelique Monét is one of the hardest working females in the film and entertainment industry today. In the middle of shooting her reality show (title yet to be released) and planning to gear back up for the finishing production of her second film Engaging, she launched her own theatrical releasing company, AM Releasings and used her first feature film Deceptive (which she is writer, producer, executive producer and lead actress) as the companies opener. Angelique likes to do everything with style and old school class, so the Red Carpet Gala for Deceptive this past Thursday October 28th was no exception. The event enjoyed a nice cround of over 100 press, celebrities, cast, crew, friends and family. Deceptive won the Audience Choice Award at the Hamptons Black International Film Festival in September and the reviews keep coming in with two thumbs up. The main cast from right to left, Meah Pace, Shiek Mahmud-Bey, Angelique Monét and Jas Anderson, walked the red carpet and took interviews with several Press outlets. The night didn't end at the theater. In true Angelique Monét style, the afterparty which followed was held at Donald Trumps new club, The Empire Room [located inside the Empire State Building] with a special thanks to the evenings host, Village. Amongst the many celebs already in attendence from the Gala, Busta Ryhmes made an appearance at the club. The movie was certified by Why Blue Matters.com which has a subscriber base of over 150,000 people world wide. The Examiner.com was more then impressed with Deceptive and went deeper then just the film, finding out what else Writer, Producer and Lead Actress Angelique Monét is up too. CNN iReport and B. Hawkins of HipHopHoney.com gave the movie a five star rating review. Prior to the Gala, Angelique and her long lost best friend, recorded an interview with Yeah New York which can be viewed here. Deceptive concludes it's week long Theatrical Release through Big Cinema's [239 East 59th St. NYC] this Thursday Nov. 4th. The film will reopen in 2011 at select cities around the country. Greta Joanne Entertainement will be the first US production company which has planned a theatrical release in Africa. Deceptive will have it's African premiere in Accra, Ghana February 2011, as well as Paris, France and the United Kingdom to follow.
